Who Am I? & Why Do I Love Movies?
My name is Michael Chow. I am currently a MPhil Postgraduate from the
University of Hong Kong and working with the Hong Kong eSports Ltd. in a
limited role.
Movies have always been a passion of mine and I have a strong personality of relaying how I see things and how I feel, so I thought, why not try talking about movies, a big part of my life.
Movies have the ability to strike so many aspects of the human emotion. The ability to tell a story in a way that strikes these emotions define the good and the bad.
Movies have the ability to teach the audience so many things, from discovering yourself and what you want to be instead of what others want, to teaching the lessons of sacrifice and bravery.
Movies have the magic of touching the core of what it means to be human and to give an environment of another world like or unlike ours where inspirations can be drawn from and lessons learned... or just a lot of action and humour. =)
Hopefully, in the future what I plan to do with this blog will allow me to share my thoughts on films I have seen and just give an opinion, to appreciate and to critique. Some may be long some may be short, but... movies touch many in different ways, the subjectivity of it is what makes it art.
