Oscars Predictions!

Oscars is coming up! Here goes with some quick predictions for the major categories on who I Want to win and who I think Will Win... Here goes!

Actor In  a Leading Role

Who I want to win?

Michael Fassbender. His performance in Steve Jobs was simply great... I have seen the movie over and over and each time I'm more convinced he IS Steve.

Who I think will win?

At the beginning of the year I would have said Michael Fassbender, but lately I think Leonardo Dicaprio seems to be picking up some steam so I will not be surprised if he picks his first Oscar here.

Actor In a Supporting Role

This years supporting role is super strong... Each nominee can easily take it, BUT here goes...

Who I want to win?

Tom Hardy. In my opinion Tom Hardy stole The Revenant from Leo. His performance as the antagonist... damn I hated him.


Who I think will win?

Tom Hardy. I think he will take it down for reasons stated above. Mark Ruffalo and Sylvester Stallone were good, but Tom hardy was great.

Actress In a Leading Role

Who I want to win?

Jennifer Lawrence. Yes yes... the popular choice, but something about Joy got to me. I really enjoyed the movie and she gave a strong character.

Who I think will win?

Brie Larson. Room was definitely, an interesting film and Brie was amazing in it.

Actress In a Supporting Role

Who I want to win?

Kate Winslet. Breath taking performance. The first time I watched Steve Jobs I already knew something special was in the works with the film. Her chemistry with Michael Fassbender was 10/10.

Who I think will win?

Kate Winslet. Alicia Vikander was good in Danish girl and may have a chance, but in my eyes, Kate wins this hands down.

Animated Feature Film

Who I want to win?

Anomalisa. An odd film for me to like but I liked the style of which it was done in and the story was intriguing and different to other animated movies that win.

Who I think will win?

Inside Out. A great film, and my favorite animated film of the year. A great story with good themes and morals. Sadness is as much a part of life as anything else, I loved the message.

Best Picture

Who I want to win?

The Martian. Perhaps not everyone's pick but Out of all the movies listed in this category, The Martian is my favorite movie of the year by far.

Who I think will win?

Spotlight. A film that was so complex but held the viewers attention over the movie, with such a strong cast, a great film on an important real life story.

Who I want to win?

Mad Max: Fury Road. Oh what a day... what a LOVELY Day!

Who I think will win?

The Revenant. The more artsy kind of film that the academy members would go for in my opinion.

Tom McCarthy. Reasons being the same for why I think Spotlight will win Best Picture.
