There needs to be more people like Desmond Doss in this world...

Watching this film was very inspiring, how someone who stood by his beliefs to be a good person and do what was right and not judge anyone even though it was in a time of war. It was heart breaking to see how someone can be mistreated simply because of a different stance and I think we ought to question ourselves before judging people.

A true hero without a doubt, a great film from Mel Gibson, if anything, this man can direct some very emotional films effectively. There were times some scenes seemed repetitive but I think that was the point, to show the brutality that was war at that time. Fighting for meters of ground at a time, suffering countless casualties for space...

The next time you see any war veteran, maybe take your time and just thank them. They truly were the Greatest Generation and they endured through some rough times younger generations will probably not face, because they did, and that deserves our respect. Desmond Doss was a remarkable man and everyone can learn how to be better using his example.

Alex Garfield should probably get an Oscar nomination for his role as Desmond Doss.

Go watch this film, you will probably be inspired to be a better person afterwards.
